Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Resources

Amidst the outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a novel (new) coronavirus that was first detected in China, ASCP disseminated guidance and support to laboratories. The virus was named 鈥淪ARS-CoV-2,鈥 and the disease it causes named 鈥渃oronavirus disease 2019鈥 or 鈥淐OVID-19.鈥

ASCP Joins Appeal for Healthcare Employers to Require Workers Receive COVID-19 Vaccine

ASCP and other specialty medical societies, led by the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) released a statement calling for all healthcare employers to require their employees be vaccinated against the coronavirus. The statement was in response to the COVID-19 surge and the availability of extremely safe and effective vaccines.
